Kochi:
There is a prediction for rain in Kochi on Tuesday and if that happens the seven match series will have seen two wash outs in a row since the first game in Bangalore was also rained out.
"It depends a lot on weather. We can only have a match if the weather holds out. The last time India won here, the weather was good," said Tinu Yohannan, Tests and 3 ODIs for India.
Soggy conditions on Monday meant that both teams couldn't have any practice at all. Perhaps the BCCI should have consulted the met department before finalising the itinerary.
"We did not get much practice here, the gym was very small so the team went to train in groups," said Lalchand Rajput, Cricket Manager, Team India.
Australia had bragging rights after the first game even though it was abandoned. They recovered from 90 for 4 to make 307, thanks to a 100 from Michael Clarke. Their policy is simple - we play every game for a win.
"Every match is crucial in international cricket, this will also be because we did not get a result in the last two matches," said Adam Gilchrist, Stand-In-Skipper Australia.
Australia's injury problems look a bit better, Ricky Ponting is fit to play while the dreaded hamstring problem has now hit India with Sourav Ganguly ruled out for Tuesday's game.
