New Delhi:
After bidding a tearful adieu to international cricket only a few weeks back, the former captain now promises to keep up the tempo of the contest in his new role as a cricket expert.
Inzy has dubbed India as the favourites and his comments have generated heat even before a ball has been bowled in the series
Inzamam-ul-Haq will be missed during the upcoming India versus Pakistan tour but not his sense of humour.
Inzy, in fact, is in India to begin a new innings as a television expert.
The Sultan of Multan revealed his funny side while answering questions on aggression to his new role at a press conference in New Delhi.
"For the last 15-16 years people have criticised me, now it is my time. I am looking forward to the experience," said Inzamam-Ul-Haq, former Pakistan Captain.
New pitch for the Sultan of Multan
No longer will he be seen making statements with his bat, but field opinions! A controversial captain begun his new innings by letting the cat out of his bag
He said that as he is no longer accountable to ICC, he would like to say that it takes harsh decisions against the match referees, umpires and sub continental teams.
Perhaps the only harsh decision Inzamam ever took was forfeiting the oval test.
He has been criticised for not playing aggressive cricket and unable to control aggressive teammates like Shoaib Akhtar. But he now feels that the mercurial Rawalpindi Express will hold the key to the series
If Shoaib would keep on playing, he will turn out to be a good bowler. He can influence the upcoming series, he said.
And for the first time in 18 years, Inzamam will stay away from the heat of an India-Pakistan contest, only to generate some heated debates off it.
