Bangalore:
Former Ranji trophy player JK Mahindra and the young duo got together to come up with a Bat and Ball inn.
Robin Uthappa and Sreesanth bring the Bat and Ball inn for the cricket fans. A cricket fans paradise, a Bed and Breakfast inn adorned with the games historical memorabilia.
A Cricket souvenier shop, and rooms named after cricket legends like Sir Don Bradman, Sir Gary Sobers and Ranjit Singh. But who landed up first at this unique retreat? Not surprisingly the Indian Cricket Team.
Uthappa and Sreesanth played the perfect hosts and the youngsters hoped to someday see their own faces on that wall.
Along side, present legends like Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and Anil Kumble.
"I think it is for the people who love the game and appreciate the game, the history of the game who follow the game for a long time," said Robin Uthappa.
"Restaurant people can run away. Out here if the people like the place they will spend much more time. They needs to spend time to see things like this," said JK Mahindra.
"At the end it is coming out good so hopefully it will stand for sometime," said Sreesanth.
The unique element of this cafe comes out best when one really imagines the act of having a meal at a silly point Caf . The phrase Cricket Crazy becomes an understatement.
One can also make his or her own food; a cook will be present to help. The restaurant will come up in a months time.
A lot of the Indian teams stuff from Twenty 20 and equipment is present. Sreesanth used to go to JK's cricket hut in Chennai.
The Indian cricket team visited the bat and ball inn - a bed and breakfast inn - conceptualized and owned by robin Uthappa, Sreesanth and former Ranji player, JK Mahendra. The theme of which as the name suggests is well - cricket.
The inn also has a souvenir shop and is filled with cricket memorabilia in every room from paintings to jerseys to cricket equipment.
Each room - the inn has only four - is named after eminent cricketers like Bradman, Sobers, Ranjit Singhji.
We have bites from Uthappa, Sreesanth and JK Mahendra on the inn.
We also have bites from Sreesanth on his injury and on Symonds' comments about him. He's given a funny bite on Symonds' saying: "I have only one thing to say to him - Mate, I'll be there!".
