ICLT20: Delhi Jets beat Tigers, stand third

Delhi Jets beat Kolkata Tigers for the third spot in the Indian Cricket League Twenty20 tournament in Tau Devi Lal stadium on Sunday.

An unbeaten 75 runs from 56 balls by captain Marvan Atapattu saw the Delhi Jets beat Kolkata Tigers by five wickets in the penultimate match of the Indian Cricket League (ICL) Twenty-20 championship in Tau Devi Lal stadium in Panchkula on Sunday.

Team Delhi now stands third in the tournament and has won the prize money of Rs 1.5 crore.

Kolkata Tigers had to be content with the fourth rank and prize money of Rs 1.25 crore.

Marvan Atapattu was declared Man of the Match. He made unbeaten 75 runs off 56 balls. He made top score of the tournament beating 74 runs by Imran Farhat.

Put in to bat by the Jets, who won the toss, Kolkata Tigers managed only 141 runs off their 20 overs, losing 7 wickets.

In reply, the Jets successfully chased the target with 5 balls to spare.
