Kolkata:
"Yes, I am happy," Ganguly, the icon player for the Kolkata team, told newspersons at the NSC Bose International Airport on his return from the western metropolis.
Ganguly did not think that the team was short on batting options. "You don't need too many batsmen in Twenty20 cricket. The team we have got is okay," he said to a query.
Australian Ricky Ponting and David Hussey, Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar, West Indies opener Chris Gayle, New Zealand Wicketkeeper-batsman Brendon Mcculum, as also Indian cricketers Ajit Agarkar, Ishant Sharma are among the players the Kolkata Team won in Wednesday's auction.
The IPL will start from April 18.
