Kuala Lumpur:

Another show of disciplined bowling saw India beat England and enter the semifinals of the Under-19 World Cup, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Sunday.

At the Kinara Oval, India bowled England out for 149 and chased the target down in less than 40 overs. This is India's fourth straight comprehensive win in the tournament.

England got off to a steady start, with openers B Godleman and J Taylor adding 31. At the halfway stage, it looked an interesting game in the making, with England placed at 73-1.

But Iqbal Abdullah (3-29) struck the first of his three blows to England, who collapsed and lost 9-73 in 21 overs.

India never had problems chasing the runs, with opener Tanmay Kohli dropping anchor. His unbeaten 63 came from 111 balls but the run rate never got out of hand.

Brief scores: England U-19 146 in 46 overs (J Taylor 41; I Abdullah 3-29) lost to India U-19 149-3 in 39.1 overs (T Kohli 63*; T Westley 2-30) by 7 wickets.
