It's a match that has the makings of a potential classic. Two of the most powerful batting line-ups, The Kolkata Knight Riders and the Deccan Chargers, will collide at Eden Garens on Sunday.

The Kolkata Knight Riders have the edge after their sensational win in the opening game as they contend with the Deccan Chargers, a crack outfit born from clever buys in the IPL auctions.

With more than 100,000 spectators set to be at the ground, this is going to be the showpiece event of the first week.

And to add to the spice, half of Bollywood is expected to come in and perform for team owner Shah Rukh Khan.

"It's a bit odd, there's music blaring and there's a dance stage being set. It feels more like a rock concert," says Hyderabad Deccan Chargers' Adam Gilchrist.

But let's not forget a cricket match is also to be played at the Eden Gardens. It's VVS Laxman's men against Ganguly's army.

And McCullum's blitzkrieg in the opening match has made the contest even more spiced up.

Even the Deccan Chargers heavyweights like Andrew Symonds and Adam Gilchrist are impressed with McCullum's innings in the opening match.

"I sent Brendon a text message saying well played but ease it off against us!" says Gilchrist.

But apart from the hype and glamour, one really interesting phenomenon of the IPL is that international stars are making plans and sharing secrets on how to cash in on the weaknesses of their own country mates.

"Yes that's bound to happen now. We are playing for Deccan Chargers so we did discuss strategies with Aussies and they have discussed strategies about their country mates," says Hyderabad Deccan Chargers captain V V S Laxman.

Whatever may be the result of this game, but the adrenalin pumping showdown will surely be etched in people's memory for a long time.
