Asif innocent till proved otherwise: PCB
Mohd Asif's detention in Dubai for the possession of drugs, PCB spokesperson Shafqat Nagmi said they presume him innocent till he is proven guilty.

"We know he was in possession of some controversial substance and we hope this was an innocent mistake."
"Asif has been provided legal help and we will presume him innocent till proven guilty. He is in good spirits and he's looking forward to coming back soon," the PCB said.

Asif will be tried under the Dubai law if he's proven guilty.
Pakistan had sent a senior board official Nadeem Akram to Dubai to coordinate with the Pakistan embassy officials and resolve the issue.
Asif, who was detained on Sunday, has undergone a blood test.
"He was carrying this substance in very small quantity in his wallet for the last four or five months and even forgot about it. He is also not sure what it is and it was prescribed to him for treatment of his elbow injury," Akram said.
"We have sent his blood and urine samples for test and so far we have not got the results," Akram said.
The results are awaited later on Tuesday evening.
When asked about Asif participation in the Bangladesh tri-series, PCB spokesperson said: "We are hopeful that Asif will return home soon and go to Bangladesh for the tri-series".
