Bhubaneswar:India's 21-year-old left arm spinner Pragyan Ojha on Friday said he would like to know secret of M Muralitharan's long standing career in international cricket.
Ojha who was given a series of felicitations here for being included in the India tea, for the test series in Sri Lanka, said he admires Muralitharan and Shane Warne of Australia for their uninterrupted game since decades.
Pragyan, the fourth Oriya after Debasish Mohanty, Shiv Sundar Das and Sanjay Roul to find place in international cricket, told reporters here that during his visit he would like to discover energy, stamina and attitude in Muralitharan which kept him going for a long time.
Stating that he would try his best to utilise the opportunities in Sri Lanka, Ojha said that there was no alternative to hard work.
Asked about his own secret, the young cricketer said he took suggestins and advice of senior players seriosuly. He also named former cricketer Venkatpati Raju as one of his seniors who guided him all along.
I always follow seniors's advice and try to apply them in the field, he said adding that he used to take advice from Anil Kumble and Adam Gilchrist during the IPL matches.
Expressing his desire to cement position in Indian team the young man said one has to perform in all kinds of games, be it twenty-20, ODI or test matches.
I am sure one can consolidate position in the team if he performs well in all matches, he said.
