Cuttack:Having impressed the selectors during last month's Challenger Series, Bengal medium-pacer Ashok Dinda could get a call up to the national side when the selection committee meets on Thursday to pick the squad for the sixth and seventh one-dayers against England.
Dinda shot into limelight after his impressive show for Kolkata Knight Riders in the inaugural Indian Premier League. He took three wickets in the two matches he played for India Blue in the Challenger Trophy.
He may replace Zaheer Khan who is playing non-stop cricket since the Sri Lanka series.
The national selection committee meeting, originally scheduled to be held after the end of the fifth ODI here today, has been postponed by a day and will now be held in Bhubaneswar tomorrow.
With India having already pocketed the seven-match series, the selectors and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni are planning to rest a few key players and give youngsters a chance to test India's bench strength.
The committee will also pick the Board President's XI team for the tour game against England to be held at Baroda from December 5.
