Nottingham:
"Whenever you do well, you get appreciation and you get criticised whenever you don't do well. It is part and parcel of the game and I don't think too much about it," Dhoni said ahead of India's final match against South Africa.
As the captain of the side, Dhoni has been copping the most flak with fans at his home town Ranchi burning his effigy and questioning his leadership.
Dhoni, however, was confident of winning over the fans again with some good performance.
"I'm sure after some good performance they would once again start praising us," he said.
Asked how much he was upset with the public post-mortem of India's team selection for the crucial match against England, Dhoni said he hardly bothered.
"I'm not really worried. Whenever you select 11 players out of 14 and whenever it does not click, the guys sitting out might think 'why he and why not me'. I think that is normal," Dhoni added.
