New Delhi: Former India international cyclist and current chief coach of Cycling Federation of India Ruma Chatterjee was killed in a road accident here early Tuesday morning.
Ruma, who hails from Kolkata, was attending a national camp ahead of the Indian team's visit to Switzerland for training. The four-member squad will participate in the World Championships in Scotland.
The 51-year-old was hit by a speeding vehicle during a training session with 20 junior members while going to Noida from New Delhi. She was rushed to Kailash hospital where she died during treatment.
