Kolkata: After their stunning collapse to lose the series 0-5 against India, England skipper Alastair Cook blamed it on their poor batting, but said they did well as a bowling unit.
From 129 for one to be bundled out for 176, England batting fell like nine-pins against the Indian spinners' guile to lose the fifth and final ODI by 95 runs on Tuesday. Cook appeared surprised with another meek submission by their batsmen.
"It's really a bit of shocker. Incredible. We have not batted well in the entire tour. Batting is one of the team why we lost many games," Cook said.
