Dubai: Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, named the player of the series following India's 5-0 whitewash over England in the ODI series, jumped two places to reach the third spot in the latest ICC rankings, released on Wednesday.
Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also broke into the top 20 for the first time after claiming 10 wickets in the series. The 25-year-old from Chennai managed a jump of 16 places that has put him in the 20th spot.
Ashwin's teammate Ravindra Jadeja, who was the player of the match in the fifth ODI in Kolkata, has also been rewarded for finishing as the most successful bowler of the series with 11 wickets. He has vaulted 12 places to 26th.
