Mourinho reiterates Chelsea FC's Rooney pursuit; tells Barcelona to 'stay away' from Luiz

While Manchester United remain adamant that their striker Wayne Rooney is not for sale, Chelsea's manager Jose Mourinho insists that they will keep up their chase in the hope to sign the coveted England international. Mourinho also told Barcelona to chose the central defender 'second on their list' as David Luiz won't be sold.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho reiterated on Thursday that Manchester United's Wayne Rooney still remains their prime transfer target. The Blues have seen two bids, the latest one believed to be in the region of £25 million (approx. $39 million), rejected by United who maintain that the coveted striker is not on sale.

Mourinho, who has earlier also hinted that it is either 'Rooney or bust' for Chelsea, insisted that they are trying to make the deal in the 'correct way' and are still hopeful to finalise the transfer.
