Manchester: Manchester United manager David Moyes challenged his players to stand up and be counted after they fell to a shock defeat at home to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Goals from Morgan Amalfitano and Saido Berahino gave West Brom a 2-1 win at Old Trafford -- their first since 1978 -- with Wayne Rooney's equaliser for the champions ultimately proving in vain.

United have now lost three times in the first six games of the campaign, which represents their worst start to a season since the inauguration of the Premier League in 1992, and have slumped to 12th place in the table.
