Sydney: Australian midfielder Tim Cahill is in line for a surprise move back to the English Premier League only two years after leaving Everton.

The Press Association Sport (PSA) on Monday claimed there has been significant interest from both Queens Park Rangers and Sunderland, as well as a number of other top-flight clubs in the Premier League and also across Europe, reports Xinhua.

Cahill had an excellent FIFA World Cup with the Socceroos, becoming the first Australian to score in three successive tournaments, and netting one of the goals of the tournament with a brilliant left-foot volley against the Netherlands.
