Barcelona:
Barcelona travel to the Spanish capital on Sunday where they will be hoping to take advantage of Real Madrid's inconsistent league form and pick up their sixth win of the Primera Liga season. Barca currently sit in second place in the league standings, eight places above their big spending rivals Real who have clawed their way up to tenth on the back of a recent run of improved results. A win at the Bernabeu stadium on Sunday could see Barcelona move to the top of the Spanish standings. For many years the two sides have fought for superiority in the Spanish Primera. Rivaldo, Javier Saviola and Frank Kluivert have fired Barcelona into second place in the Spanish standings this season and they will be looking to heap more misery on their hosts. Barcelona player Frank de Boer said, "They also have a good squad of players. It is a good team and they have demonstrated during their Champions League campaign that when they are on form, they are a good team. To me they are the favourites (to win Sunday's game), but they also have more pressure because they are six points behind Barcelona and with a draw, we win the game, so we are more relaxed." Real have won two and drawn two of their last four Primera Liga matches to take their points tally for the season to 13 and have climbed to mid-table in the Spanish standings. A victory over Barcelona would be a welcome morale boost for a side, who have struggled to repeat their Champions League form so far this season.Topics mentioned in this article
