Kolkata:
Continuing their awesome run, Mahindra United sailed into the final, getting past a lacklustre Vasco Sports Club, Goa, 2-1 in a floodlit Tata Federation Cup semi-final today. Togo recruit Raphael Patron struck both the goals for the Mumbai outfit in the first session before K Ajayan reduced the margin post-breather for the Goans, who seemed rudderless right through. This was a far cry from the gritty display they put up two days back when they stunned fancied East Bengal 1-0 to reach the pre-summit round. Mahindra will now clash for the title on August 9 with local outfit Mohammedan Sporting, who scraped past title holders Mohun Bagan 5-4 via tie breaker in the first semi-final yesterday.
