Berlin:An online poll in Brazil showed that 48 per cent Brazilians thought Kaka would be the best performer of the team in Germany. Ronaldinho garnered 30 per cent of the votes, while shockingly only 11 per cent thought Ronaldo and Adriano would contribute the most to the team's cause. Though Kaka justified his standing on the poll, Ronaldo might also be on his way in justifying it. Ronaldo's World Cup woes started with a controversy about his weight, which aroused even presidential concerns. There were blisters on his foot and a mild respiratory infection. The latest was his visit to a hospital on Wednesday on account of headaches and dizziness. In Brazil's 1-0 opening win against Croatia on Tuesday he barely had one shot at the ball and was replaced in the 69th minute. Worst performance The performance of the 29-yr-old striker against Croatia has been regarded as his second worst World Cup performance ever. He equalled his worst showing on Tuesday with just one shot at the goal against Croatia. Ronaldo received the ball just 15 times, only one more time than his previous worst in 1998 when Brazil lost to hosts France. Ronaldo still has a lot to look forward to, in the 100 matches he has played for Brazil the team has lost only eight times. He is only three goals away from becoming the World Cup's all-time leading scorer and is tied with Pele at 12 goals. Brazil play their next match against Australia in Munich on Sunday and coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has said Ronaldo would retain his place in the starting line-up. Thanks to Kaka, Brazil managed to steal a win against Croatia but with just two matches to go before the Knock out stage Brazil will have to play out of their skin to win their sixth title. If that has to happen Ronaldo will have to contribute.
