They keep on winning - and leading the way in the Dutch Eredivisie. But there's still room for improvement at Ajax. They travelled to mid-table Heerenveen where they dominated - without destroying. Henk ten Cate's men had to be satisfied with a one-goal lead at the interval, Tom de Mul scoring in the 17th minute. Urby Emanuelson, among others, had the chance to improve on that scoreline. Emanuelson, together with Wesley Sneijder, provided the main offensive impetus for the Amsterdam giants. And after going close early in the second half, it was the latter who doubled Ajax's advantage in the 76th minute. It finished 2-nil in the Abe Lenstra Stadion, just the reversal at Roda by the same scoreline in September stands between Ajax and a 100 per cent record in the Eredivisie. Still, they need to be that good, with PSV and Alkmaar in such fine form. (AP)
