Spanish star Raul Gonzalez is still doubtful for this weekend's quarter-final match against South Korea. "If he says he's 100 per cent and the doctor says he's 100 per cent then he'll play, if not then he won't," Spanish coach Jose Antonio Camacho said today. Raul, who has a groin injury, has been out of action since he was substituted in Spain's dramatic penalty shoot-out win on Sunday against Ireland. He has missed the three subsequent training sessions and it was not clear if he would be available for the side's last practice this evening before travelling to Gwangju for Saturday's match. Team doctor Genaro Borras said Raul was progressing but he would have to be tried out on the playing field before a final decision could be made. He intimated that if Raul did not train today, he was unlikely to play against South Korea. Camacho knows it would be dangerous to risk playing Raul and losing him for the rest of the tournament if he should get injured again. He also knows that the Koreans would mark the Real Madrid ace heavily so he would have to be in top shape. (AP)Topics mentioned in this article
