Carnago, Italy:
AC Milan considers Tuesday's return at Red Star Belgrade in Champions League qualifying one of its most important games this season. Milan takes a 1-0 first-leg lead into Belgrade's "Maracana" stadium. "This is the most important game, because it will determine how Milan's season goes," defender Cafu said on Friday. "The setting is really rough to play in and they're going to try and get their fans involved. We have to play our game." Milan was forced to play a qualifying round as part of its sentence in a massive corruption scandal. "We can't approach this game angry over the sentences," Cafu said. "Anger is negative. We simply have to think about playing soccer. What's happened has happened." Filippo Inzaghi scored the lone goal in the first leg. Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has still not decided whether to keep his two-forward lineup of Inzaghi and Alberto Gilardino, or drop Gilardino and leave Inzaghi up front alone. Milan appeared tired in the second half of the first leg. "Our physical condition will be better, we'll be able to play 90 minutes without feeling too tired," Cafu said. "Of course, it depends on how the game goes." If Milan is eliminated, it will be reduced to playing in the UEFA Cup instead of Europe's top club competition. (AP)Topics mentioned in this article
