London: Warnock's team are now 10 points clear at the top of the table as two goals from Heidar Helguson settled a hard-fought London derby at Loftus Road on Saturday.

There was even better news for QPR as second placed Swansea crashed to a 2-1 defeat at Derby, while fifth-placed Leeds were held to a 0-0 draw by Ipswich and sixth-placed Nottingham Forest drew 0-0 with Doncaster.

Victory over Palace was the perfect end to a traumatic week for the Hoops, who saw their 11-match unbeaten run ended at Millwall on Tuesday and could face a possible points deduction after the Football Association charged them, along with chairman Gianni Paladini, with breaches of regulations relating to third-party ownership and agents.
