Madrid: His team may be backing him after Real Madrid lost out to Barcelona in the semi-final of the Champions League. Manager Jose Mourinho though is being crticised by many, now including the former president of Real Madrid Ramón Calderón.
Calderón told BBC on Thursday that Mourinho's recent behavior has done his side more harm than good . The Portuguese coach had accused UEFA of favouring Barcelona for which he was suspended from the second-leg of the semi-final which ended in a 1-1 draw allowing Barcelona to move into the final on a 3-1 aggregate. "I think what he did in terms of talking about Uefa and referees is not acceptable at all," Calderón told BBC Five Live.
Interestingly, despite his outburst against European football's governing body, Mourinho's contract as manager of the side was extended by a season.
