FIFA President Joseph "Sepp" Blatter concluded his visit to 2010 World Cup host South Africa on Thursday. Blatter played an instrumental part in bringing the FIFA World Cup to Africa for the first time. The FIFA President visited the host country to oversee the final selection of the local organising committee. Wide interest Even though it is over five years before the tournament kicks-off, Blatter believes that the 2010 competition has already gained more interest than the next World Cup, which will be held in Germany in 2006. FIFA have few worries over the construction of first-class football stadia or transport links. However, Blatter did express concerns over security on Thursday. Blatter also revealed that FIFA have preferences over certain positions within the country's World Cup local organising committee.
