New Delhi: Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben hoped that the friendly against the Indian team at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here Tuesday in Bhaichung Bhutia's testimonial would inspire a generation of young Indian footballers.
The 27-year-old Dutch winger, who was part of the Netherland's team that finished runners-up to Spain in the 2010 World Cup, said high-profile friendly matches would inspire youngsters to take up football in a cricket crazy India.
"First of all, thanks to everybody in India including the fans. It was great to see such enthusiasm. We had a great experience here and a great training camp in Qatar," said Robben.
