Hong Kong:
Striker Ricardo Oliveira scored two goals on Wednesday as reigning World Cup champions Brazil displayed finesse and raw power to trounce Hong Kong 7-1 in an international friendly. Unsurprisingly, the Brazilians dominated the match from the beginning, playing most of the game in Hong Kong's end of the pitch and finishing with 16 shots at goal. Real Madrid star Roberto Carlos fired in a powerful shot to double Brazil's lead - the Real Madrid defender's viscous strike from outside the penalty box cannoned in off the crossbar. Brazil maintained its momentum after the break when Ronaldinho picked up clever touch from Robinho and stormed into the goal area before lobbing a shot over a flat-footed Fan. Kong Kong's lone reply came through Lee Sze-ming, who scored with four minutes to go. Despite the Hong Kong side's resignation to defeat before the match, Lee's strike led to the crowd erupting into cheers as they watched their side score against the best soccer team in the world.(With AP inputs)
