Bhutia to grace Tibetan football tournament inaugural day
Former Indian football captain Baichung Bhutia and New Zealand World Cupper Tim Brown will be the guests at the inauguration ceremony of 18th Gyalyum Chemo Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament to be held here from May 26-June 5.

Former Indian football captain Baichung Bhutia and New Zealand World Cupper Tim Brown will be the guests at the inauguration ceremony of 18th Gyalyum Chemo Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament to be held here from May 26-June 5.
The tournament is organised every year by Tibetan Sports Association in the loving memory of the late mother of His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama.
Giving details of the tournament, chairman of the organising committee and Tibetan Settlement Officer Sonam Dorjee said, "Out of the 24 clubs registered, 17 from India/Nepal have confirmed participation in this year's tournament."
The tournament will be played in a league-cum-knockout basis. The teams will divided into six pools and top two teams from each pool will qualify for quarterfinals.
Dr Lobsang Sangye, the Tibetan Prime minister, will be the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony June 5.
