Beijing:
South Korea and Jordan advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2004 Asian Cup soccer championships after the final Group B matches in China on Tuesday. South Korea's Lee Dong-gook scored twice as the 2002 World Cup semi-finalists defeated Kuwait 4-0 in Jinan, to lead Group B. The win takes them into Saturday's quarterfinals against the runners-up in Group D - likely to be Iran. In a poor match in Beijing, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates ground out a 0-0 draw, allowing Jordan to advance through to their quarterfinal match this weekend against the Group D winners.
