Los Angeles: Los Angeles Galaxy star midfielder David Beckham is back in training for the Major League Soccer club after a sprained left ankle and hopes to play in Sunday's game at Colorado.
The English midfielder has not played for the defending MLS champions since injuring his ankle in a 2-0 victory over Vancouver on September 1. The Galaxy has already clinched a berth in November's MLS championship playoffs.
"It's better," Beckham said of his injury. "Still a little bit of discomfort but it's good to be back on the field. Trying to get my fitness back. Hopefully I can get out on the field and stay fit this week and be involved."
