Rafael Benitez fumes as decisions go against Chelsea

Pressed on whether Argentine forward Aguero deserved a red card for a two-footed lunge on Luiz when the Brazilian was lying prone on the pitch, Benitez added: "See the video. I will not talk about players, for me the penalty decision was crucial." Benitez believes his players should take heart from the way they pushed City in the closing stages.

London: Rafael Benitez insisted two poor decisions from the officials were decisive in Chelsea's 2-1 defeat against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Sunday.

The holders were unable to reach a fourth final in five years as Chelsea's barrage of pressure in the closing stages failed to produce an equaliser.

Benitez's team fell two goals down after strikes from Samir Nasri and Sergio Aguero.
