Tunis:
Tunisia beat Nigeria five-three in a penalty shootout after the game finished in a one-all draw on Wednesday to advance to the final of the 2004 African Cup of Nations. Karim Hagui converted the decisive penalty after captain Jay-Jay Okocha had given Nigeria the lead through a 66th minute penalty and Tunisian skipper Khaled Badra equalised in the 82nd from the spot to send the match into extra time. The shootout capped a tense, exciting game in front of 60,000 fervent fans at the Rades Stadium in Tunis - the unfortunate Peter Odemwingie was the only Nigerian to miss his penalty and if Tunisia now beat north African rivals Morocco in Saturday's final, they will have won their continental championship for the first time in their history.
