History will be made in the UEFA Cup on Thursday when Hapoel Bnei Sakhnin of the Israeli Premier League meet Newcastle United at St. James' Park. The team from the hills of Gallilee in Israel are the first Arabic side to qualify for European competition. Their first round match against the Magpies will be the biggest in their history. The squad, made up of Arabs, Jews and Christians, with an on-loan goalkeeper from Zimbabwe, trained at Newcastle's ground on the eve of the match. The squad is hoping to gain the support of the Arabic world and cause an upset over one of England's most prestigious club sides. The club will bring approximately 100 travelling fans to St. James' Park for the game itself. (AP)Topics mentioned in this article
