Munich: Arsenal's Mesut Ozil said Germany had shown who was "boss" in their World Cup qualifying group after their convincing 3-0 win over Austria in Munich on Friday kept them five-points clear.

"We showed who is boss out on the pitch," enthused Ozil, who became Germany's most expensive player when he joined the Gunners from Real Madrid for 50 million euros (US$65.9m) on Monday.

"We're delighted with the result, we scored some nice goals going forward and were tight at the back."
