Birmingham: Brendan Rodgers believes Liverpool's trip to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday is a significant landmark in the club's development since he took over at Anfield.

Rodgers' side were beaten 3-0 at the Hawthorns on the opening day of last season in the Liverpool manager's first league match in charge.

Seven of the 18-man squad that day are no longer at the club.
