Inter Milan won the Tim Cup beating perennial rivals AC Milan and Juventus in the preseason three-team tournament on Wednesday. Inter overcame AC Milan 5-4 on penalties, and beat Juventus 1-0 for a fourth straight success in the Tim Cup at Nereo Rocco stadium. AC Milan defeated Juventus 2-1. Inter, fielding newly signed Marcelo Pizarro, Julio Cesar and Santiago Solari, beat AC Milan in a penalty shootout after the 45-minute regulation period ended 0-0. Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar made a decisive save on AC Milan's Serginho, and kicked one of Inter's penalties in the successful shootout. A 42nd-minute goal by flashy Nigeria striker Obafemi Martins gave Inter the 1-0 victory over Juventus. Patrick Vieira, just transferred to Juventus from Arsenal, struck the crossbar in the 21st minute as he made a much applauded debut with the Italian league champion. Juventus also succumbed 2-1 to AC Milan, the Champions League finalist this year. Christian Vieri, who joined Milan in the offseason, converted a penalty kick and Portugal midfielder Rui Costa made it 2-0 with a precise drive from the area edge. France striker David Trezeguet netted Juventus' only tally. AC Milan will leave this week for friendlies in the United States with England Premier League champion Chelsea on July 24 and 31, and with Chicago Fire on July 27.
