Wellington:
The Galaxy have added a match against the Phoenix, who play in Australia's A-League, to the itinerary for a short sweep through Australasia which includes a match against Sydney FC in late November, the New Zealand club confirmed Tuesday.
Former England captain Beckham, who played previously for Manchester United and Real Madrid, is currently sidelined with an injured ankle but is expected to fit enough to return to the field in October.
The Phoenix's deal with the Galaxy is understood to include a clause that Beckham will play at least 55 minutes of the match at the 34,500-seat Westpac Stadium.
