Spanish league: Madrid rallies for draw
Javier Saviola scored an 87th-minute equalizer on Sunday to help Real Madrid earn a 1-1 draw at Valladolid in the Spanish league.

Saviola pushed Ruud van Nistelrooy's pass into the net 15 minutes after Pedro Lopez scored with a hard shot from 20 meters.
Madrid stayed at the top of the standings with 10 points after four matches, one more than both Valencia and Villarreal.
"This season is young and these teams have started the campaign with great emotion, so no one was surprised out there," Madrid coach Bernd Schuster said. "In the end, we have to be happy with this point."
Joaquin Sanchez scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute to lead Valencia over Real Betis 2-1, while Giuseppe Rossi scored twice as Villarreal beat Murcia 2-0.
Barcelona, which beat Sevilla 2-1 on Saturday on two goals from Lionel Messi, has eight points.
Also, it was: Zaragoza 2, Osasuna 1; Atletico Madrid 4, Racing Santander 0; Athletic Bilbao 2, Levante 1; Almeria 1, Mallorca 1; and Getafe 0, Deportivo La Coruna 0. On Saturday, Recreativo Huelva beat Espanyol 2-1.
Valladolid created a handful of first-half chances as Sisinio Gonzalez and Daniel Kome harassed Madrid's back line.
Both goalkeepers made solid saves before halftime. Valladolid's Ludovic Butelle deflected Raul Gonzalez's swerving shot wide, and Iker Casillas tipped Sisinio's curler over the crossbar.
Winger Arjen Robben made his league debut in the 61st for Madrid, and substitute Gonzalo Higuain had two chances after coming on for Robinho.
Joseba Llorente pushed a point-blank rebound from Casillas over the goal in injury time as the newly promoted club nearly got the upset.
Joaquin, a former player at Betis, slotted in Miguel Angel Angulo's centering pass before bowing to the fans in a gesture of apology.
Miguel Monteiro scored for Valencia in the 69th, shooting under goalkeeper Ricardo after a long run. Rafael Sobis then rounded goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand in the 87th to score for Betis, which hasn't won under new coach Hector Cuper.
"The team has played better but the results aren't showing it," Cuper said.
Centering pass
Rossi poked a soft chip with the outside of his left foot over goalkeeper Antonio Notario in the 85th for Villarreal. Four minutes later, the former Manchester United player slid to guide a centering pass into the open goal.
At Zaragoza, Diego Milito sent a powerful penalty into the top of goal after being fouled in the area by Javier Portillo in the 70th.
Zaragoza had gone ahead in the 18th when Francelino Matuzalem played a give-and-go with Pablo Aimar, who beat two defenders before sending his right-footed shot inside the near post.
Juan Francisco Torres replied for Osasuna six minutes later, volleying defender Roberto Ayala's looping clearance header into the top of goal past goalkeeper Cesar Sanchez.
At the Vicente Calderon Stadium, Raul Garcia handed Atletico its first win of the season with his goal in the 12th, scoring off a poor clearance.
Sergio Aguero got a touch of his head to Jose Antonio Reyes' cross in the 70th for his third of the season, six minutes after Jordi Lopez was ejected for his second booking within two minutes.
Diego Forlan and Simao Sabrosa also scored their first league goals to complete the rout.
Ariz Aduritz scored twice to give Athletic its first victory of the season.
Aduritz chested down a pass before sliding it underneath goalkeeper Marco Storari in the ninth minute.
Levante could have equalized in the 68th after Athletic defender Asier Del Horno was whistled for a handball inside the area, but Christian Rigano's penalty hit the crossbar.
A minute later, Aduritz's shot from a tight angle deflected off Miguel Angel Lozano past Storari, who was already on the ground.
Rigano made up for his penalty miss with a header in the 78th.
At Almeria, Daniel Gonzalez "Guiza" kicked in the bouncing centering pass past wrong-footed Almeria goalkeeper David Cobeno to level it in the 78th.
Jose Manuel Jimenez had scored in the 33rd by rushing in front of goal alone to meet Kalu Uche's centering pass after the Nigerian poked it free and past goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya.
