The Indian Grand Prix has been a big hit with the crowd but the Customs department refused to be awed by the mega event as it reportedly gets set to tax the organisers for the transfer of expensive equipments.
The amount which has been estimated to be in the region of Rs. 600 crore did not go too well with the organisers Jaypee Sports India who said that arranging for such a large amount at such a short notice was tough.
The authorities however, have put up an argument that the amount will be returned after the event with a deduction of just 2 per cent.
The Indian Grand Prix is scheduled for the 30th of October which is the first of its kind in the Indian subcontinent and is bound to be a big boost for the sport in the country.
