Madrid: Formula One driver Pedro De la Rosa has left McLaren to race for Spanish outfit HRT for two seasons starting next year.
The 40-year-old Spanish driver leaves the British team, which he first joined in 2003, where he was a test driver. De la Rosa says he is "proud that Spain has an F1 team and that I have this opportunity to be its driver."
De la Rosa has raced in 85 grands prix for McLaren, Sauber and Jaguar since his debut with Arrows in 1999. His best result was second for McLaren at the 2006 Hungarian GP.
