Shanghai:
India's Narain Karthikeyan crashed out of the Shanghai Grand Prix after being involved in an accident halfway through the final race of the 2005 Formula One season. The Jordan driver was speeding in at the 13th position and negotiating a sharp turn on the 29th lap when his car banged into the sidewall, sending up a cloud of debris. The accident brought to an end a dismal season for the Coimbatore-born Karthikeyan where he managed to just gather five points on the back of a fourth place finish in the United States Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso capped off his F-1 title by winning the Chinese Grand Prix. (With PTI inputs)Topics mentioned in this article
