The BAR Honda Formula One team has laid down the gauntlet for world championship holders Ferrari and other manufacturers this season. Drivers Jenson Button and Takuma Sato and Managing Director Nick Fry all stated that the team's aim is to secure that elusive first Grand Prix win before going on to mount a serious challenge for the F1 world championship drivers' and constructors' titles. This was the scene in mid-January as the Circuit de Catalunya just outside the Spanish city of Barcelona became the venue for the launch of the 2005 Formula One car for the BAR Honda team. The 'BAR Honda 007' was duly unveiled as the team geared up for the new season, which begins with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 6th. Last year was a very successful year for BAR Honda as they improved their position from fifth in the Championship to a fantastic second place with Briton Jenson Button picking up 10 podium finishes, including four second places. This year, Button and BAR sounds like they mean business - the 25-year-old genuinely believes he can finally end the reign of Michael Schumacher as the sport's number one behind the wheel.Topics mentioned in this article
