Golfer Michelle Wie carded a four-under 68 that allowed her to keep pace with Dorothy Delasin in the LPGA Championships. Thunderstorms halted play for five hours and half the field didn't finish the second round when it was suspended by darkness Friday. Michelle Wie looked as though she might struggle to make the cut late on Friday afternoon until finishing with three birdies over the final four holes. Playing in the morning before the rain began, the 16-year-old from Hawaii began the day with a birdie on her opening hole, the tenth. She carded another birdie on 15, bogeyed 17 and then birdied 18 for the second day in a row. Nice save Making the turn at three-under par, Wie birdied one and two then parred the rest of the holes, making a nice save on nine for a round of four-under par 68 and was five-under through two completed rounds. Wie spent much of the day trying to keep pace with playing partner Dorothy Delasin. Delasin birdied the 17th and 18th to make the turn at eight-under par. She continued her torrid pace with birdies on one and two to get to 10-under par, but two bogeys and a double bogey on her final seven holes brought her back to six-under par for the tournament. At the top of the leaderboard, Pat Hurst, who opened with a 66 on Thursday, had three birdies and a bogey through ten holes on Friday. (AP)Topics mentioned in this article
