Shiv Kapur keen to win inaugural Indian golf league

After a prolonged lean phase, Kapur, who is representing Maharashtra 59ers in the GPL, recently notched up his second successive title, winning the third edition of the Gujarat Kensville Challenge golf by two strokes.

Pune: After more than half a dozen years in the wilderness, Indian golfer Shiv Kapur is suddenly going through a purple patch of sorts winning two successive titles, and is hungry for more.

Kapur now wants to make it three in a row, by clinching the inaugural edition of the Golf Premier League, which started amid much fanfare in Pune on Thursday.

The brainchild behind the concept of GPL along with Neeraj Sareen, Kapur, one of India's finest golfers, sported that cherubic smile though the opening day's proceedings at the picturesque Aamby valley City Golf Course here.
