With a solid finish at the European Masters in mind, the Order of Merit leader is now hoping the unpredictable weather patterns will be in his favour as he tees up during the weekend.

Switzerland: India's Anirban Lahiri made up for his disappointing start by returning with a three-under 67 in the second round of the €2.3 million (approximately US$3 million) European Masters on Friday.

Despite opening his Swiss campaign with a 70 where he would languish in a share of 73rd place after day one, Lahiri showed character by plotting his way back to reduce his deficit from the leaders.

"It's a much improved performance from me today. I made a few more six footers for par today which I didn't manage to do at all yesterday. I'm playing well but it's a little patchy.
