Srinagar:It's freezing in Kashmir with temperatures having nosedived to minus five degrees Celsius.
Most people have headed indoors but not the golfers. Such is their passion for golf that they are beating the cold by turning up to play at the Royal Springs Golf Course even if it is frosty.
Even the pond at the golf course is frozen but the intense cold has not put off Delhi golfer, Bupin Kaul.
"Event golfer will never mind even if it's snowing. You just can't miss golf even if the temperature is minus 4 or minus 10. Golf is all about mind," said Bupin.
Like many other avid golfers Hilal-ud-Din a local businessman says golfing in the morning helps him keep the cold at bay for the rest of the day.
"We are morning golfers. These days the temperature is minus and we start at 7:30 am. It is both passion and addiction that brings us here in the morning," said Hilal-ud-Din.
When the life in Kashmir is mostly indoors these days due to freezing cold, it's the passion for golf that keeps these golfers going.
