Indian hockey team leaves for Holland
The Indian hockey team has left for Holland for the elite six-nation Champion's Trophy.

Indian hockey coach Rajinder Singh today said the team's performance in the Champion's Trophy would determine how far the players have progressed in achieving the ultimate goal of winning an Olympic medal. A new sponsor and a new attitude that seemed to be the new mantra of the Indian hockey team as they departed for the 25th Men's Champion's Trophy beginning next Saturday in Amsterdam. The mood is the team is upbeat especially after a long and hard camp in Lucknow. "There haven't been too many changes in the squad with Deedar Singh the only new face having come in to replace the ill Sandeep Michael. But none of the players feel that it would disturb the momentum of the team," said Rajinder Singh, coach, Indian hockey team. Singh is confident that after the recent victories in Germany and Australia, the team can complete a hat-trick by winning the Champion's Trophy for the first time.Topics mentioned in this article
