New Delhi: India's start in the Tri-Nation invitational tournament at Santander (Spain) did not begin on an auspicious note as Great Britain registered a 3-1 win against the men in blue on Saturday.
Wet conditions prevailed at the start of the match and was regarded as being helpful for preparing for the London Olympics. India's start too was on an attacking note which helped the side open the scoring.
Shivendra Singh's deflection off a Tushar Khandekar cross was sublime. That it was on a counter-attack made it appear even more spectacular.
