Dusseldorf:
India kept themselves on course for a confidence boosting title triumph ahead of the Athens Olympics with an emphatic 5-0 win over France in the DSD four-nation hockey tournament in Dusseldorf today. Deepak Thakur and Kanwalpreet Singh scored two goals each while Gagan Ajit Singh sounded the board once to help India register their second consecutive win of the tournament. The Indians, who beat Great Britain 2-0 in their opening match yesterday, put up a much improved display against their unfancied opponents in what turned out to be a lop-sided contest at the Deutscher Sporsklub. With no title triumph in the recent times, India will now have to put it across firm favourites Germany in their last match tomorrow to win the title.( PTI)Topics mentioned in this article
